The Munich Quantum Valley (MQV) is an initiative of the Bavarian Academy of Sciences and Humanities (BAdW), the Fraunhofer Society (FhG), the Max Planck Society (MPG), the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (LMU) and the Technical University of Munich (TUM).
The goal of the initiative is to create a unique center for quantum sciences and technologies (QST) and thus establish Bavaria and Germany as a major hub for research and development in this important future field. With its excellent educational and research institutions as well as a dynamic industrial and venture high-tech environment, the Munich metropolitan region offers optimal starting conditions for the Munich Quantum Valley.
Other important Bavarian and national research institutions and universities with strong activities in QST will be efficiently connected to MQV and participate in its activities. Based on the strength of its founding institutions and long-term institutional funding, the MQV will play a key role in a national and European quantum strategy.
TODAY the MQV initiative will be introduced in detail, all consortia and projects introduce themself and their work, as well as how they are interconnected. Industry partners are asked to present their involvement in a short flash talk and be available for questions at the MQV marketplace.
