Cosmological Observables: Cambridge-LMU Cosmology Meeting

Europe/London
Kavli/DAMTP Cambridge

Kavli/DAMTP Cambridge

Aleksandra Kusiak, Alex Jenkins (KICC/DAMTP, Cambridge), Henrique Rubira (LMU), Jochen Weller (Physik), Paul Shellard (Cambridge)
Beschreibung

Building on previous meetings between cosmologists from Cambridge and Munich, this workshop brings together students, postdocs, and faculty to discuss recent progress and future directions in cosmology.

The scientific focus of the meeting will include:

  • Large-scale structure (LSS)
  • The cosmic microwave background (CMB)
  • Early-Universe physics
  • Cosmological tensions and beyond-ΛCDM models
  • Statistical methods and simulation-based inference

The Cambridge–LMU Cosmology Partnership was established in 2017 and is supported by both universities. These workshops provide a regular platform for scientific discussion, exchange of ideas, and updates on joint research progress. They also offer an excellent opportunity for graduate students and early-career researchers to present short talks and engage with researchers from both institutions.

The event will be held in person in Cambridge. We look forward to welcoming you there.

Friday

To strengthen LMU–Cambridge connections, Friday will be reserved for open discussions.

Venue

Kavli Institute for Cosmology, Cambridge, University of Cambridge.

Visa

Please note that traveling to the UK may require an electronic travel authorisation (ETA) or visa. Please visit the UK government website to find out whether you require an ETA or a visa, and apply for the ETA if relevant. (Note: many other websites offer ETAs at higher rates - it is highly recommended to use the link above).

If you are not eligible for an ETA but require a visa, please apply for the visa in a timely manner as visa evaluation procedures may take long.
