Beschreibung
Laser driven ion acceleration provides a route to achieve high quality ion beams, which could be superior for specific applications. In this talk I will present recent development of a laser driven ion acceleration beam line at Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics (SIOM). Using a table-top 200 TW laser, we demonstrate repetitive laser driven proton beams with maximum energy of 14 MeV and with a shot-to-shot variation of the maximum energy about 10% from a micrometer thick tape target irradiated with an ultrashort pulse with laser energy of 4 J. Our major motivation is the potential application of such pulsed ion sources. And I will also give an update on the current status of the 10 PW and 100 PW Laser systems at SIOM.
