We are committed to provide a stimulating environment for scientific exchange and creativity. All our actions are therefore guided by mutual tolerance and respect, the principle of equality, cultural sensibility and openness. In this regard, open discussions on an equal basis are the key to the meetings success. Likewise, we expect everyone to treat all on the same footing and to guarantee that these basic ideas are respected and implemented.
Any disregard of these basic principles, especially impolite, discriminatory remarks or actions, in particular on the basis of sex, age, religion, beliefs, nationality, culture, ethnicity, race, sexual orientation, position, disability, or family situation entails an investigation that may result in the immediate exclusion of the offender without warning and without refund. Depending on the seriousness of the offense we might even decide to take further legal action.
The same principles and consequences in case of violation apply to any activities in the virtual space (zoom, social media, etc.). Regarding the publication of images online and elsewhere please pay special attention to the German copyright law. In accordance with this federal law authors enjoy protection of their scientific and artistic work and retain all rights to their own image (§ 1 UrhG and § 22 KunstUrhG). Thus images can only be published with the explicit consent of the person(s) depicted and with mention of the author.
