Lab tours

We invite you to take part in laboratory tours offered to small groups of workshop visitors by the following teams (the list is not yet final):

Laboratoire Temps Espace (LTE),
Team: Optical Frequency Metrology

LTE (Laboratoire Temps Espace, formely SYRTE) is part of the Observatoire de Paris. It develops atomic clocks and inertial sensors based on atom interferometers, based on cold atoms.

Laboratoire de Physique de l'ENS (LPENS)
Team: Hybrid Quantum Circuits

The team develops and exploits hybrid quantum circuits with carbon nanotubes and superconducting resonators at cryogenic temperatures to manipulate quantum information and create synthetic electronic states. Another activity concerns quantum sensing based on superconducting circuits and magnetic materials to search for axionic dark matter and probe cosomological signals such as the 21 cm line of hydrogen.

Institut de Recherche de Chimie Paris (IRCP)
Team: Crystals and quantum state dynamics

We design and grow oxide crystals and diamonds containing quantum emitters in which we aim at controlling optical and spin non-classical states. These materials, produced in the form of bulk and nanostrctured single crystals, show extremely long-lived quantum states and are suitable for integration into nanophotonic systems. these unique properties in the solid state enables us to address a broad range of applications, from quantum processing, communication and sensing to spectral analysis and medical imaging.
