Description

In this talk a new radiation reaction force is given. First, the Diracs derivation of the LAD-force is analysed. An unjustified employment of a Taylor series is identified as the cause of run away solutions. Next, an approach by Parrott to circumvent the Taylor Series is discussed. An additional geometric constrained is introduced, which is violated by Parrott's derivation. Finally, a new approach is given that complies with the geometric constrained and avoids the Taylor series and the resulting radiation reaction force is presented and discussed.
