16.–17. Sept. 2024
Europe/Berlin Zeitzone

The application round for 2024 is closed. The Symposium Finalists for this year will be announced on our website in July 2024.

Registration is open for members of the Munich Quantum Community until 20 August 2024. To attend, fill out the form.

Join us at Quantum Talents Symposium Munich – an Innovation Hub where talent meets opportunities.

The symposium is jointly organized by several organizations of the Munich quantum ecosystem:

  • Munich Center for Quantum Science and Technology (MCQST),
  • International Max Planck Research School for Quantum Science and Technology (IMPRS-QST),
  • Munich Quantum Valley (MQV),
  • Women in Quantum Optics Postdoctoral Program (WiQO) of the Max Plank Institute of Quantum Optics.

The event is designed as a platform for showcasing groundbreaking research in quantum science and for scientific exchange among young and talented quantum researchers.

Our mission is to facilitate knowledge sharing, inspire collaboration, and promote career opportunities in quantum science, with a strong commitment to diversity and inclusivity.

Call for Applications (closed on 15 April 2024):

We invite applications from outstanding and driven early-career researchers. Eligibility criteria include PhD students and postdocs who are at the forefront of quantum science. Applicants must demonstrate their contribution to the field with at least one first-author publication in a peer-reviewed journal (physics, chemistry, mathematics) OR published contributions in top-tier conferences with full papers in the field (computer science, engineering).

Selection Criteria for Finalists:

Our selection process prioritizes academic excellence and exceptional research potential. Finalists will be selected on three key criteria: scientific excellence, scientific vision, and our commitment to diversity in quantum research.

About the Symposium:

  • duration: two days
  • ten symposium finalists' presentations
  • lectures from invited speakers
  • interactive activities
  • lab tours in Munich's leading quantum groups at LMU, TUM, and MPQ
  • awards: the top three finalists' presentations will be awarded monetary prizes
  • certificate of attendance as a finalist

Participation as an attendee:

All members of the Munich quantum community (IMPRS-QST, MCQST, MQV) are invited to attend the Symposium!

Registration is required for organizational purposes. To participate, please fill in the form below.

Poster session for participants:

Participants are encouraged to present a poster. The poster session will take place on September 17.
