The Laser-Plasma Accelerator Workshop (LPAW) is a biennial international conference on novel laser-based acceleration techniques. Held for the first time in the 1990s in Kardamili (Greece), it has become one of the most important conferences in its research field, gathering more than a hundred researchers and students from around the globe. Its last editions were held in Wuzhen (China, 2011), Goa (India, 2013), Guadeloupe (French Caribbean, 2015), and Jeju (Korea, 2017). In 2019 the conference will be held in Split, Croatia, organized jointly by LMU Munich (Prof. Stefan Karsch) and HZDR Dresden (Prof. Ulrich Schramm).
The LPAW meetings have become known for opportunity to present and discuss high-quality research and ideas in a relaxed and convivial atmosphere. For the 2019 edition, we furthermore aim to strengthen the contact to companies working on related technology and an industry exhibition will be integrated into the program.
